Fauxgerty makes quality, versatile pieces for women who want to change the world – and look good doing it.
Effortlessly worn, consciously made.
A person behind
We are a woman owned business invested in the joy and success of every member of our team. Every employee is valued with family-friendly schedules and paid time off. Our pieces are made in California, Alabama and Tennessee in factories that meet our ethical standards and by seamstresses paid fair wages. On average, our sewers are paid 71% over minimum wage.
Inspired by the thrifted piece you'll love forever, we create timeless pieces with thoughtful details that feel special with every wear. Effortless with a bit of edge, our collections are about slowing down, shopping consciously, and finding pieces that work with the closet you already have.
We spent years researching environmentally ways to produce the clothes we actually want to wear. We use low-impact materials found in unconventional places: a weather-repellant soft faux suede commonly found in luxury cars, a leather alternative that is PVC-free, and deadstock fabrics discarded by other sew houses that we repurpose. In 2018, we upcycled over 1,500 yards of fabric that would have otherwise been destined for a landfill.
Wardrobe-worthy for years to come.
Life moves quickly. Our pieces are made to last and adapt – day to night and season to season.
Wherever the road takes you, you'll feel comfortable, confident, and ready for anything.
Ethically made since 2013
In 2013, Chrissy Fogerty set out to create environmentally sustainable garments that adapt with any woman's lifestyle. It all started with a collection of faux leather motorcycle jackets that felt and lasted just like real leather. That line inspired the Fauxgerty name and paved the way for a full collection of ethical pieces.
“I want to create a brand as mindful about what we put on our bodies as what we put in them.”
– Chrissy Fogerty, Founder & Designer
