MEATLESS MONDAY: Spiced Cocktail Nuts

Happy Boxing Day, Fauxgerty family! We hope you spent your weekend just like we did, surrounded by the people you love.

But there’s no time to rest with New Year’s Eve on the horizon. That’s why we’re dedicating an hour today to baking a healthful, energy-boosting snack to get us through the end of the holiday craze: spiced cocktail nuts. We love this recipe from Anna Beck, who flavors her mix of almonds, cashews, walnuts and pecans with sea salt, cayenne pepper and ground cinnamon.

“These are fun to serve in a bowl at your next party, package up as a gift, or put some in a bag to snack on while holiday shopping,” Anna says on her blog Urban.Apron. “This weekend, when my boyfriend and I hosted a dinner party, I placed a bowl of these nuts in my living room for guests to snack on.”
